THE PROCESS
For this project, I created a logo animation for HIDE that visually represents the company’s core values of discovery, empowerment, and growth. I began by exploring typefaces, colors, and storyboarding the movement of the “I” to reflect a shy individual gradually stepping into the spotlight. Once the concept was solidified, I brought the animation to life in After Effects, carefully timing the movements to convey curiosity, confidence, and transformation.
THE FINAL
The final animation I created uses the letter “i” as a metaphor for a person who is shy, hidden, but slowly gaining confidence to step into the open. The “i” hides behind the “H,” representing a shy or unseen individual, then cautiously peeks out, taking its first step toward visibility.
It emerges fully, claiming its place to symbolize confidence and recognition, then transforms into the dot, rising above the “H” and “D” using negative space to remain present, suggesting growth and adaptability. Finally, the dot falls and the cycle restarts, mirroring HIDE’s ongoing discovery of new talent.
