THE PROCESS
For this project, I created a logo animation for RAIN that visually represents the company’s core values of fun, creativity, and durability. I began by exploring typefaces, colors, and storyboarding the movement of each letter to reflect the playful and adventurous spirit of children on rainy days. Once the concept was solidified, I brought the animation to life in After Effects, carefully timing the movements to convey energy, joy, and the lively bounce of raindrops forming the logo.
THE FINAL
For the RAIN logo, I rounded the corners of the letters to create a friendly, approachable feel for children and chose a long, stretched typeface to visually evoke falling rain. For the animation, I had the raindrops fall and form the letters as they hit the ground, giving the impression that the logo emerges naturally from the rain.
The letters, particularly the “L,” are springy and bounce slightly before settling, adding a playful, lively motion that reflects the brand’s fun and adventurous personality. I designed the animation to loop seamlessly so it can be used as the company’s website opener or video ad closer.
